 Trivia:
-This is the first season of the series.
-This is the first season to have children for the stage audience (Erin, John, and Daniel Hunter, and Jett and Zach Hawk)
-"The Jungle Book" was suggested by Deanna Hawk.
-"The Jungle Book" originally had the most episodes (17 episodes total), until "The Secret Garden" from
Season 5 beat it (20 episodes).

 6. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 1 ----------------------- April 11, 2011
    The first half of the Mowgli stories from "The
   Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling are read. In the
   first part of eight, a pair of wolves rescue a man-
   cub (a human baby) from Shere Khan, the tiger.
   But will the man-cub be accepted by the Wolf
   Pack, or will he become Shere Khan's victim again?

 7. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 2 ----------------------- April 18, 2011
    In the second part of eight, the man-cub is spoken
   for by Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther,
   and is thus saved again from Shere Khan. Now
   given the name Mowgli, and a few years older,
   Bagheera warns him of a threat to not only him,
   but also to Akela, the leader of the Wolf Pack...

 8. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 3 ----------------------- April 25, 2011
    In the third part of eight, Mowgli is captured by
   the Bandar-log, the Monkey People, and Baloo
   and Bagheera seek out help from one of the most
   feared creatures of the Jungle; Kaa, the Rock
   Python.

 9. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 4 ----------------------- May 2, 2011
    In the fourth part of eight, Kaa joins Baloo and
   Bagheera to help rescue Mowgli, who, meanwhile,
   is having a rough time with the Bandar-log. Will
   he be rescued in time?

 10. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 5 ----------------------- May 9, 2011
    In the fifth part of eight, Mowgli is rescued and Kaa
   has his way with the Bandar-log. And some years
   later, Mowgli goes to live in the Man-Village (the
   human village) and discovers three things; one, his
   birth parents. Two, this way of life difficult. And
   three, Shere Khan is out for revenge...

 11. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 6 ----------------------- May 16, 2011
    In the sixth part of eight, Mowgli, with the help of
   Akela and Gray Brother, his wolf-brother, defeat
   Shere Khan. But the result is not one of victory, but
   of betrayal... from the Man-Village.

 12. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 7 ----------------------- May 23, 2011
    In the seventh part of eight, back in the days before
   Shere Khan was defeated, and there was a terrible
   drought upon the Jungle, Hathi, the elephant, tells
   Mowgli how tigers once had a right, and how Fear
   came to the Jungle.

 13. The Jungle Book, Part 1 - Part 8 ----------------------- June 6, 2011
    In the final part, Hathi concludes his tale on how
   the First of the Tiger's actions brought not only
   Death to the Jungle, but Fear as well. He also
   explains how the tiger got its stripes, and why
   there's Fear between man and tiger.

 14. The Railway Series - Mountain Engines ----------- June 13, 2011
    In honor of the Rev. W. Awdry's centenary, a book
   from his classic "Railway Series" is read. A
   mountain engine, named Culdee, shares tales
   about his railway to the Narrow-Gauge engines of
   the Skarloey Railway. And when he returns to his
   railway, he meets a new engine named Lord Harry,
   who soon learns the difference between bravery
   and taking risks.

 15. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 1 ----------------------------------- June 20, 2011
    In light of the theatrical release of Disney's "Winnie-
   the-Pooh", the original stories by A.A. Milne are
   read. In the first part of seven, Pooh tries to trick
   some bees with Christopher Robin's help, and, later
   on, gets into a rather tight spot at Rabbit's house.

 16. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 2 ----------------------------------- July 11, 2011
    In the second part of seven, Pooh and his friend,
   Piglet, go tracking a Woozle, and then Pooh helps
   Eeyore, the donkey, find his tail.

 17. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 3 ----------------------------------- July 18, 2011
    In the third part of seven, Pooh and Piglet try to
   trap a Heffalump, and then both of them try to get
   presents for Eeyore, because it's his birthday.

 18. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 4 ----------------------------------- July 25, 2011
    In the fourth part of seven, Pooh and Piglet give
   Eeyore his birthday presents, and then they, with
   Rabbit, begin to get very skeptical when Kanga and
   Roo come to settle in the Hundred-Acre Woods.

 19. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 5 ----------------------------------- August 1, 2011
    In the fifth part of seven, Piglet ends up in a case of
   mistaken identity, and then Christopher Robin leads
   an expedition to discover the North Pole.

 20. Winnie-the-Pooh, Part 6 ----------------------------------- August 8, 2011
    In the sixth part of seven, Pooh inadvertently
   "discovers" the "North Pole", and then leads a
   rescue to save Piglet from the rising flood-waters
   (and also from Owl's ramblings!).

    In the final part, Christopher Robin holds a special
   party for Pooh, because of his bravery during the
   flood.

    The second half of the Mowgli Stories from "The
   Jungle Book" are read. In the first part of nine,
   after Mowgli returns to the Jungle, he discovers

   hunting him. But when he discovers something
   else, his blood boils with rage...

 23. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 2 ---------------- September 13, 2011
    In the second part of nine, Mowgli steals away
   to the Man-Village to rescue his birth parents.
   And while he does that, he begins to make
   plans for the Man-Village's demise...

 24. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 3 ---------------- September 19, 2011
    In the third part of nine, Mowgli carries out his
   plan against the Man-Village. And later, Mowgli
   spends some time with Kaa, who takes him to
   visit the White Cobra of the Cold Lairs.

 25. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 4 ---------------- September 26, 2011
    In the fourth part of nine, the White Cobra
   shows Mowgli the Treasure Vault he guards,
   and allows him to take one of the treasures; an
   Ankus. But a little bit later, he discovers some
   horrifying things about it.

 26. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 5 -------------------- October 3, 2011
    In the fifth part of nine, Mowgli and Bagheera
   recover the Ankus and return it to the Cold Lairs.
   Later, Mowgli and his companions are given a
   warning; the Red Dog are on the move...

 27. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 6 -------------------- October 10, 2011
    In the sixth part of nine, Mowgli seeks out some
   advice from Kaa. After that, he makes a plan to
   defeat the Red Dog, and then goes to confront 
   them. Will his plan work?

 28. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 7 -------------------- October 18, 2011
    In the seventh part of nine, Mowgli and his
   companions defeat the Red Dog, but one of their
   own is lost. And a couple of years later, Mowgli
   hears of something called "The Time of New
   Talk"...

 29. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 8 -------------------- October 24, 2011
    In the eighth part of nine, Mowgli begins his
   "Spring Running" and wonders why he feels
   strange along the way. He also meets many of
   the Jungle people along the way, but near the
   end, he meets someone quite unexpectedly...

 30. The Jungle Book, Part 2 - Part 9 -------------------- October 31, 2011
    In the final part, Mowgli has now met Messua,
   his birth-mother, again, in a different Man-Village,
   and she's begging him to stay. And so is Gray
   Brother, for him to stay in the Jungle. What will
   he choose?

 31. The King's Stilts ------------------------------------------- November 7, 2011
    A rare Dr. Suess book is read; it's about a hard-
   working King who likes to play with his stilts
   when the day is done. But when the King's
   adviser, who dislikes fun, does away with the
   stilts, the King falls into despair, and it's all up to
   a young boy to avert a dangerous threat to the
   kingdom!

 32. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 1 -- November 14, 2011
    The sequel to "Charlie & the Chocolate
   Factory" by Roald Dahl is read. In the first part
   of eight, Charlie and his family, and Mr.
   Wonka, end up getting stuck in orbit when the
   Glass Elevator goes too high up! But to some
   astronauts, they appear to be something else...

 33. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 2 -- November 21, 2011
    In the second part of eight, the President of the
   USA and his Cabinet think that everyone in the
   Glass Elevator plans to destroy the Space Hotel!
   But when they're confronted, Mr. Wonka begins
   to speak in a strange language...

 34. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 3 -- November 28, 2011
    In the third part of eight, when Mr. Wonka has
   finished speaking, everyone in the President's
   Cabinet think that they are Men from Mars! But
   as this is going on, Charlie and company
   encounter an even more serious and dangerous
   threat... the Vermicious Knids!

 35. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 4 -- December 12, 2011
    In the fourth part of eight, the battle of the
   Knids has begun! While everyone in the Glass
   Elevator tries to escape, they notice that the
   Commuter Capsule to the Space Hotel is under
   attack! Will they be able to rescue them, and,
   not to mention, themselves, if they go back?

 36. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 5 -- December 19, 2011
    In the fifth part of eight, the Knids get ready for
   their final attack. But with the quick-thinking of
   Mr. Wonka, they defeat the Knids and rescue
   the Commuter Capsule. And after they arrive
   back at the Chocolate Factory, Mr. Wonka has
   a surprise for Charlie's bed-ridden grandparents...

 37. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 6 ------ January 9, 2012
    In the sixth part of eight, things begin to go awry
   when the bed-ridden grandparents take too much
   Wonka-Vite, which makes you younger, and one
   of them disappears! While they try to figure out
   what to do, the Oompa-Loompas sing them a tale
   with a very important moral.

 38. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 7 ----- January 23, 2012
    In the seventh part of eight, Mr. Wonka and
   Charlie go to Minusland to rescue Grandma
   Georgina, with the help of Vita-Wonk, which
   makes you older. But once the rescue is
   complete, they run into another problem, which
   requires the use of Wonka-Vite again...

 39. Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator, Part 8 ----- February 6, 2012
    In the final part, the bed-ridden grandparents are
   restored to their proper ages, with the help of
   Wonka-Vite and Vita-Wonk. And just as it seems
   that everything is coming to a good end,
   something even more surprising turns up...

    In the last half, Mr. Toad escapes prison and
   has many adventures on his way home. But then
   he, with the help of Water Rat, Mole, and Mr.
   Badger, must reclaim his home when the
   Weasels
 and Stoats take it over.

3. Billy & Blaze: A Boy and His Horse -------------------- May 7, 2012
    Some books from C.W. Anderson's "Billy &
   Blaze" series are read.
    Billy gets Blaze, a pony, as a present, a lost
   quarry is 
rediscovered, and then Billy and his
   friend enter 
a competition with their ponies.

4. Pippi Longstocking, Part 1 ------------------------------- May 14, 2012
    "Pippi Logstocking" by Astrid Lindgren is read.
    In the first part of six, Pippi moves in and make
   friends with her 
next door neighbors, Tommy
   and Annika. And 
later, while Pippi and her
   friends are "thing-finding"
, she helps defend 
a
   boy against some 
bullies.

5. Pippi Longstocking, Part 2 ------------------------------- May 21, 2012
    In the second part of six, Pippi and her friends
   continue their "thing-finding", and Pippi's antics
   begin to infuriate some policemen and a teacher.

6. Pippi Longstocking, Part 3 -------------------------------- June 3, 2012
    In the third part of six, Pippi tells a story and then
   she and her friends discover a hiding spot. And

    In the fourth part of six, Pippi and her friends

11. The Railway Series, Part 1 - Four Little
      Engines ----------------------------------------------------- August 13, 2012
    Some books from the "Railway Series",
   featuring the Narrow Gauge Railway are read.
    In the first part of five, Skarloey shares some
   memories with Edward, Sir Handel has a rough
   time with the coaches, Peter Sam accidentally
   leaves a passenger behind, and then Skarloey
   makes an effort to pull a train home.

12. The Railway Series, Part 2 - The Little

    In the second part of five, Peter Sam gets into

 accident when he fills in for Sir Handel

    Two books by Beatrix Potter are read.
    Peter, a very naughty rabbit, goes to Mr.
   McGregor's garden and nearly gets caught by
   him. Then Benjamin, Peter's cousin, takes him
   back to Mr. McGregor's garden to
 retrieve the
   clothes he lost, but they run into 
some trouble
   along the way.


18. The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin and Timmy
      Tiptoes ----------------------------------------------------- October 29, 2012
    Two more books by Beatrix Potter are read.
    When some red squirrels ask an Owl for
   permission to gather nuts, one of them,
   Nutkin, keeps 
teasing him and soon gets his
   comeuppance.
 And then, while Timmy
   Tiptoes, a gray squirrel, and his
wife, Goody,
   are gathering nuts, a commotion 
arises which
   gets Timmy into a tight spot.


19. James & the Giant Peach, Part 1 ------------ November 5, 2012
    A story about a boy, some bugs, and a giant
   piece of fruit by Roald Dahl is read.
    In the first part of seven, a young boy named
   James, who's been living with his terrible
   aunts for some time, gets something that a
   strange man
 claims that "marvelous things
   will start
 happening" if he takes it...

20. James & the Giant Peach, Part 2 ---------- November 19, 2012
    In the second part of seven, a giant peach
   has just grown on an old tree, and James'
   greedy aunts take advantage of it. But soon,
   after that, James makes an extraordinary
   discovery... and some new friends...

21. James & the Giant Peach, Part 3 ---------- November 26, 2012
    In the third part of seven, James and his
   new friends - a Grasshopper, a Centipede,

 Spider, a Ladybug, an Earth-worm, a

    In the final part, James and his friends have
   finally arrived in New York City, USA, whose
   people are going into a panic, thinking that

26. The Velveteen Rabbit --------------------------- December 31, 2012
    Margery Williams' timeless tale about a toy
   rabbit and "Nursery Magic" is read.
    The Velveteen Rabbit, who started life as
   a Christmas present, hears of something
   called "Real" from the Old Skin Horse, who
   says that its something that happens when
   one is Really Loved. But just as he thinks
   that its happening to him, something turns
   up that threatens his existence... 

 Season 3 (2013)

    and Mrs. Tittlemouse -------------------------------------- March 25, 2013
    In the season-opener, two books by Beatrix
   Potter.
    In the first story, a little girl, who's looking for
   some lost items, comes across a strange little
   washer-woman. In the next story, an overly-tidy
   mouse finds herself in a very messy (and not to
   mention, "buzzy") situation.

2. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 1 ----------------------- April 8, 2013
    The classic story about a mute Trumpeter Swan
   by E.B. White is read.
    In the first part of ten, while out on a camping
   trip, a young boy named Sam makes a great
   discovery; a pond with a Trumpeter Swan's nest,
   where a pair of Swans are ready to raise a family.

3. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 2 --------------------- April 15, 2013
    In the second part of ten, Sam earns the
   Trumpeter Swan's trust, and then the cygnets,
   the baby swans, 
hatch. But before long, the Old
   Cob, the Father
 Swan, notices that something is
   wrong with his 
youngest cygnet, Louis.

4. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 3 --------------------- April 22, 2013
    In the third part of ten, the Old Cob has
   discovered that Louis is mute and promises to
   help him. Some time later, the Old Cob teaches
   his
 cygnets how to fly, and then Louis joins
   Sam
 for school.

5. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 4 --------------------- April 30, 2013
    In the fourth part of ten, Louis has finally
   learned how to read and write, but is met with
   failure when trying to communicate with his
   family and Serena, a young female swan that he
   has fallen in love with. Noticing his predicament,
   the Old Cob makes a very bold and risky move.

6. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 5 ------------------------ May 6, 2013
    In the fifth part of ten, the Old Cob returns and
   gives Louis a trumpet, of which he stole. While
   figuring out how to play it, Louis now has to
   figure out how to pay for it. But with Sam's help,
   an opportunity presents itself in the form of a 
   campground job.

7. The Trumpet of the Swan, Part 6 ---------------------- May 13, 2013
    In the sixth part of ten, while being a camp
   bugler for the summer, Louis rescues a boy from
   drowning and receives a medal, in addition to
   his first paycheck. Once the job is done, Louis
   goes job-searching in Boston.

    Some books from the Rev. W. Awdry's "The
   Railway Series" are read.
    In the first part of three, Gordon becomes
   jealous of a visitor, and then Duck tries to
   show newcomer Diesel how to work with
   the trucks. But when Diesel becomes the
   laughing-stock of the Yard, he starts telling
   lies about Duck, who gets sent away and

    In the second part of three, Bill and Ben,
   the tank engine twins, play a trick on BoCo,
   a new diesel, when he accidentally takes
   their trucks. Later, James has some trouble
   with bees, Gordon ends up on the wrong
   line, and Edward makes an effort to get a
   train home after he sustains some damage.

   ocean, and ends up in a strange place. Will
   he be able to find his way back home?

21. Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of NIMH, Part 1 --- September 30, 2013
    Robert C. O'Brien's classic tale about a
   widowed mouse and some strange rats is
   read.
    In the first part of thirteen, in the midst of
   discovering food, Mrs. Frisby's youngest
   son, Timothy, falls seriously ill. And while
   she gets medicine from Mr. Ages, the
   white mouse, she discovers that Timothy's
   condition and situation is far worse than
   she thought.

22. Mrs. Frisby & the Rats of NIMH, Part 2 --------- October 7, 2013
    In the second part of thirteen, Mrs. Frisby
   rescues a crow named Jeremy, who in turn
   rescues her from Dragon, the cat, while making
   her way home. But a few days later, a new
   problem arises when she sees Farmer
   Fitzgibbon getting ready to plow the field that
   she and her family reside in.

    In the second part of four, just as Grampa Herc

   she wonders what will happen next... 

11. The BFG, Part 2 ---------------------------------------------- May 26, 2014
    In the second part of ten, Sophie discovers that
   her kidnapper is really a friendly giant, called
   the BFG (meaning "Big, Friendly Giant"), and
   she finds out how he was able to tell that he

4. The Railway Series, Part 4 - Tank Engine

    In the fourth part of seven, we get to see life
   on Thomas' Branch Line.
    Thomas accidentally leaves his Guard
   behind, goes fishing, gets rescued from a
   snowdrift by Terence the Tractor, and then
   has a race with Bertie the Bus.

5. The Railway Series, Part 5 - Troublesome
    Engines ------------------------------------------------------ May 11th, 2015
    In the fifth part of seven, we get to meet
   another famous character.
    Henry has an encounter with an elephant,
   and then Gordon and James have trouble on
   the turntable. And when the bigger engines
   decide to go on strike, The Fat Controller
   buys a new tank engine named Percy, who,
   later on, avoids a near-collision with
   Gordon!

6. The Railway Series, Part 6 - Henry the
    Green Engine --------------------------------------------- May 14th, 2015
    In the sixth part of seven, we get to see some
   major changes for Sodor's No. 3 engine.
    After getting some new coal to help him
   work properly, Henry gets a rebuild after
   having an accident. And after suffering
   ridicule from Gordon (who later gets his
   comeuppance), Henry gets even with some
   naughty boys. And during all this, Percy
   gets into an accident that gives him a scarf.

7. The Railway Series Part 7 - Stepney the
    Bluebell Engine ----------------------------------------- May 18th, 2015
    In the final part, another anniversary is
   celebrated; the 55th year of the Bluebell
   Railway and their star engine, Stepney.
    Percy gets excited about Stepney's visit and
   tells Douglas about the Bluebell Railway's
   purpose. And then Stepney takes a special
   (much to Thomas' annoyance), has a spat
   with some Cricketers and their car, Caroline,
   and then he and Duck show a new Diesel
   how reliable Steam Engines are.

    Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic tale about
   a spoiled girl who turns when she is sent to
   live in a strange manor and learns of its
   stranger secrets is read.
    In the first part of twenty, we meet Mary
   Lennox, a spoiled girl growing up in India,
   who becomes forgotten when everyone in
   her home dies from a deadly disease. And
   when she's found, she's sent to live with her
   uncle in London, whom she learns about on
   the way.

9. The Secret Garden, Part 2 -------------------------- June 8th, 2015
    In the second part of twenty, after crossing
   the moor, Mary Lennox makes it to her new
   home, Misselthwaite Manor. And then has a
   rather interesting first morning, the following
   day, when she meets her maid, Martha.

10. The Secret Garden, Part 3 ---------------------- June 22nd, 2015
    In the third part of twenty, Mary goes
   outside and explores the grounds of
   Misselthwaite Manor. And during all this,
   she meets Ben Weatherstaff, an old

    A couple of books about our "fine-
   feathered friends" are read.
    In Robert McCloskey's classic, "Make

   tries to guide her ducklings through a
   city to reunite with their father in a park.
   And in "Cryano the Crow", a crow with
   the ability to talk and imitate any bird
   goes onto a Televised Contest Show.

30. The Tale of the Pie & the Patty-Pan
      and Ginger & Pickles ----------------------- 
November 2nd, 2015
    A couple of books about dogs and
   cats by Beatrix Potter are read.
    In the first one, its a case of mistaken
   pies when Ribby, a cat, invites
   Duchess, a dog, for lunch, and then a
   dog-and-cat duo find their business
   going under.

31. Music Stories ------------------------------------ November 9th, 2015
    A couple of books about music are
   read.
    In Robert McCloskey's "Lentil", a young
   boy named Lentil saves the day in the
   most surprising way. And in "A Green
   Horn Blowing", a young boy and a
   Farm-hand during the Great Depression
   discover an extraordinary vegetable that
   can act like a trumpet!

32. The Rhino Who Swallowed A
      Storm ---------------------------------------------- 
November 16th, 2015
    A new childrens' book by actor LeVar
   Burton is read.
    A grandfather mouse reads a story to
   his granddaughter about how a little
   rhinoceros' friends got him through a
   hard time after "swallowing a storm".

    A return to Robert McCloskey's classic
   Homer Price sequel, "Centerburg Tales" is
   read.
    In the first half, one of Centerburg's citizens,
   Dulcy Dooner, inherits some seeds which
   quickly turn into some enormous and fast-
   growing plants... and then quickly turn into
   an 
equally enormous and fast-growing
   problem 
that might turn Centerburg into a
   ghost town!
 
9. Homer Price - Experiment 13, Part 2 ---------- June 27th, 2016
    In the second half, when its discovered that
   Dulcy Dooner's plant are giant ragweeds,
   plans are immediately made to do away with
   them, much to Dulcy's discomfort and
   opposition. Can an answer to their "seedy"
   problem be solved before disaster blooms?
 
10. The Railway Series, Part 1 - The Twin
      Engines ------------------------------------------------------ July 4th, 2016
    Four books from the Rev. W. Awdry's "The
   Railway Series" about returning characters to
   the its TV Series counterpart are read.
    In the first part of four, a mistake is made
   when two engines from Scotland come
   instead of one. And after receiving their
   names - Donald and Douglas -, trouble ensues;
   from misplacing a coach to an
 incident
   involving a Spiteful Brake Van,
 what's to keep
   the Fat Controller from sending
 them both

11. The Railway Series, Part 2 - Branch Line
      Engines ----------------------------------------------------- July 11th, 2016
    In the second part of four, after having an
   accident involving breakfast, Daisy the Diesel
   Railcar comes to help on Thomas' Branch
   Line while the latter is away being repaired.
   But she soon proves to be quite a handful for
   Toby and Percy, when she refuses to pull
   trains and has a run-in with a bull. But when
   Percy unintentionally creates a predicament,
   does she realize what it means to be a Really
   Useful Engine.
 
12. The Railway Series, Part 3 - Enterprising
      Engines ----------------------------------------------------- July 18th, 2016
    In the third part of four, some stories about
   engines overcoming adversity are read.
    After a prank involving extra tenders is
   pulled, Henry proves to some Diesels on trial
   what being reliable is really about. And after
   that, Douglas finds himself rescuing a tank
   engine when taking a train to and from the
   Other Railway. But will he be accepted on
   the Fat Controller's railway?
 
13. The Railway Series, Part 4 - Oliver the
      Western Engine ---------------------------------------- July 25th, 2016
    In the final part, some stories about Duck's
   Branch Line and Oliver, the rescued tank
   engine from the previous episode, are read.
    After a "ducky" joke is pulled, Oliver learns
   a hard lesson about "pride coming before the
   fall", especially when Scruffey, an old truck,
   won't leave him be. But with Toad the Brake
   Van's help, another lesson is learned. And so
   is a third when Bulgy, a Double-deckered
   Bus, 
steals the Great Western Engines'

    Two books by Beatrix Potter about animals

Pigling Bland finds himself trying to escape
   
the clutches of a man who wishes to turn
   
him into his next rack of bacon and ham.
 
15. Teddy Bear Stories, Part 1 --------------------- August 8th, 2016
    In the first half, two books about a boy
   and some teddy bears by Ginny Hoffman
   are read.
    In "Who Wants An Old Teddy Bear?", a
   young boy named Andy has a dream about
   being a teddy bear's toy after mistreating
   one in real life. And then in "One Teddy
   Bear Is Enough!", when Andy gets a new
   teddy bear named Max, Arthur, his other
   one, starts to get jealous and begins
   making plans to do away with Max.

    In the second half, two more books about
   teddy bears are read.
    In "Eddie and Teddy" by Gus Clarke, we
   see the inseparable bond of a boy and his

   Hissey's classic, "Old Bear", some toys
   make attempts to rescue their friend, Old
   Bear, from the playroom attic after being
   locked away for years.
 
17. The Presidential Special --------------------- August 22nd, 2016
    To coincide with the Presidential
   Elections of 2016, two
 books are read;
   one about government, and another
   about making peace.
    In "Daffy Duck For President" by late-
   and-great Looney Tunes animator, Chuck
   Jones, Daffy Duck learns about the three
   branches of government from Bugs Bunny
   while trying to get into Presidency so he
   can pass a law to outlaw rabbits. And then
   in "The Great Alphabet Fight" by Steve
   Jensen and Joni Erickson Tada, a young
   boy's daydream turns into a dilemma when
   the letters C and E get into a fight that
   threatens to tear the Alphabet apart!
 
18. The Railway Children, Part 1 ---------------- August 29th, 2016
    To celebrate 110 years since publication,
   Edith Nesbit's timeless classic about three
   children and the railway are read.
    In the first part of fifteen, we meet Roberta
   (or
 Bobbie for short), Peter, and Phyllis,
   and
 how they were living a wonderful life
   with
 their parents. But when their father is
   called away, they suddenly find
   themselves now having to live in less-than-
   idyllic settings.
 
19. The Railway Children, Part 2 ------------ September 5th, 2016
    In the second part of fifteen, as the
   three children
 adapt to their new way of
   life, they find
 themselves exploring their
   new home
 and the nearby railway
   station. But when
 hard times come,
   Peter gets an

   hard time staying on the rails in "Tootle".

    Three books about that "little bundle of joy"
